  1. README for ARCHIVE EXPLORER

  4. Installation Instructions:
  5.  
  6. IMPORTANT NOTE FOR WINDOWS 95 AND 98:
  7.  
  8. If you do not have DCOM installed on your machine (or if you are unsure
  9. whether it is installed) run the following file which is included in the
  10. aexp.zip file:
  11.     Windows 95: dcom95.exe
  12.     Windows 98: dcom98.exe
  13. then proceed with steps 1 through 3.
  14.  
  15. 1.  After unzipping the downloaded ZIP file run the setup.exe program from the directory
  16.     that you unzipped the files into.
  17.  
  18. 2.  Follow the onscreen instructions to install the program.
  19.  
  20. 3.  Run the program from the start bar.
  21.  
  22. Note:  You will need to have ADO data installed on your computer.
  23. The included MDAC_TYP.exe program will install these files if they do not exist.
  24. Look on your hard drive for this file and run it if you encounter any data difficulties.
  25. It should be located in your windows system folder.

  29. 1.01:    Corrected database driver issue due to no legacy support in MDAC
  30. 1.00A:  Fixed run time error when selecting "Help Topics" from "Help" menu.
